Tasmania's 17 September ROI round: subclass 190 falls to 375, no Gold 491 invitations
The round included 30 Green subclass 190 invitations and 26 non-Gold subclass 491 invitations. Scores of 375 and 72 are Tasmania ROI priority scores, not SkillSelect EOI points.
Migration Tasmania has confirmed a new ROI invitation round on 17 September 2026. It issued 37 invitations to apply for subclass 190 nomination, comprising 7 Gold and 30 Green invitations, and 26 subclass 491 invitations, with no Gold invitations in the 491 group. An invitation to apply for nomination is neither nomination approval nor a visa grant.

How should the fall in the subclass 190 ROI score be read?
The lowest invited subclass 190 ROI priority score was 502 in the previously recorded 10 September round and 375 on 17 September. The subclass 491 figure moved from 74 to 72. These figures reflect that week's ROI pool, priority attributes and invitation settings; they do not create a permanent eligibility threshold. Tasmania did not publish an occupation, pathway or applicant-location breakdown, so the scores cannot be applied directly to a particular occupation or person.
The three-month reference score is a different measure
The same page reports three-month rolling assessment reference scores of 504 for subclass 190 and 83 for subclass 491. If claimed priority attributes cannot be verified during assessment and the adjusted score falls below the relevant reference, the nomination application may be declined. These are not the lowest invited scores for the 17 September round and should not be treated as a prediction for the next round.
Three practical checks for candidates in the ROI pool
- Employment dates, weekly hours, earnings, residence and study records should align with the ROI and supporting evidence.
- Invited candidates should lodge within the invitation deadline and re-check every points-bearing attribute.
- Candidates still waiting should not treat available nomination places or outstanding invited applications as the number of invitations promised in the next round.
