Tasmania's 24 September ROI round: 38 subclass 190 invitations and a 352 score
Subclass 190 received 38 invitations, including 20 Gold and 18 Green. All 24 subclass 491 invitations were non-Gold. Scores of 352 and 72 are Tasmania ROI priority scores, not SkillSelect EOI points.
Migration Tasmania has confirmed a new ROI invitation round on 24 September 2026. It issued 38 invitations to apply for subclass 190 nomination, comprising 20 Gold and 18 Green invitations, and 24 subclass 491 invitations, all in the further-invitation group and none in Gold. An ROI invitation permits a nomination application; it is not nomination approval or a visa grant.

What changed from 17 September?
Subclass 190 invitations edged up from 37 to 38 and the lowest invited ROI priority score fell from 375 to 352. Subclass 491 invitations moved from 26 to 24 while the lowest score remained 72. This reflects the particular ROI pool, verified priority attributes and settings used for the round. It is not a permanent threshold for every occupation or pathway. Tasmania did not publish occupation, pathway or onshore/offshore breakdowns.
Do not confuse the two score measures
The page also reports three-month rolling assessment reference scores of 478 for subclass 190 and 81 for subclass 491. These relate to the risk of a nomination application falling below the applicable reference after priority attributes are verified. They are not the 24 September invitation scores and are not forecasts for the next round. An application may be declined if claimed priority attributes cannot be verified and the adjusted score falls below the relevant reference.
Three checks for candidates waiting or invited
- Ensure employment dates, weekly hours, earnings, residence and study records align with the ROI and supporting evidence.
- If invited, note the invitation deadline and re-check every points-bearing and priority claim before lodgement.
- Do not treat remaining places, submitted ROIs or unlodged invitations as the number promised for the next round.
