VETASSESS Professional Skills Assessment Fees Set to Change on 9 September
VETASSESS will adjust professional occupation assessment fees from 9 September 2026. Applicants should rely on the amount shown by VETASSESS at payment.
The latest fee update states that VETASSESS will adjust professional occupation assessment fees from 9 September 2026. The fee for a full skills assessment will rise from $1,096 to $1,146, with changes also affecting priority processing and some related services.

Which applications may be affected?
- Professional occupations assessed by VETASSESS;
- certain professional assessments under a DAMA or Industry Labour Agreement;
- priority processing, Skills Assessment Support and selected administrative services.
The change does not apply to trade occupation assessments. The relevant authority, process and fee for a trade occupation should be checked separately against TRA and VETASSESS information.
Do not rush an incomplete application
Applicants should not lodge weak or incomplete evidence solely to avoid the fee difference. Occupation alignment, qualification level and content, employment duties, supporting evidence and duration of work commonly matter far more to the outcome.
