Tasmania's 15 October round: 45 subclass 190 and 32 subclass 491 invitations

The confirmed round includes 12 Gold and 33 Green invitations for 190, and 1 Gold plus 31 further invitations for 491. Lowest invited ROI scores of 319/88 are different from assessment reference scores of 427/81.

Migration Tasmania has published its ROI results for 15 October 2026: 45 subclass 190 invitations and 32 subclass 491 invitations, or 77 altogether. The composition, pool figures and assessment reference scores matter as much as the total. They measure different stages and should not be collapsed into one supposed migration cut-off.

1. Official figures for this round

Official rolling page updated and checked on 15 October 2026; the invitation round was also 15 October.

The 190 total comprises 12 Gold and 33 Green invitations. The 491 total comprises 1 Gold and 31 further invitations, using the government's wording rather than assuming every further invitation belongs to a particular colour or pathway. No occupation, pathway or onshore/offshore breakdown was published for the round.

2. Invitation scores and assessment reference scores are separate

Measure190491Meaning
Lowest invited ROI score on 15 October31988Historical result for this round, not a future cut-off
Assessment reference score42781Published three-month rolling reference relevant to verified priority attributes

The scores are Tasmania ROI priority scores, not SkillSelect federal EOI points. Matching 319 or 88 does not guarantee a later invitation. Tasmania checks all claimed priority attributes when assessing the nomination application. If claims cannot be verified and the adjusted score falls below the applicable assessment threshold, an application may be declined. A Gold applicant who does not satisfy the Gold attribute can be declined regardless of total points.

3. Places, submitted ROIs and undecided applications are not interchangeable

Available nomination places were 944 for 190 and 682 for 491. Submitted ROIs after the round numbered 878 and 612 respectively. Separately, 103/64 nomination applications were lodged but undecided, and 83/74 invitations had not yet resulted in lodged applications. These are different stages, not quantities to add into a single queue or subtract to calculate an individual's invitation chance.

The oldest nomination application lodged but not yet allocated to an officer was dated 26 September 2026. This describes allocation workload; it does not establish that every earlier application has been decided or promise a decision date for an individual.

4. Next week's invitations move to Friday 23 October

Hobart Show Day falls on Thursday 22 October 2026, normally an ROI invitation day. Tasmania has announced that invitations for that week will instead take place on Friday 23 October. This is a planned round, not an already issued result, and is not added to the historical results table in advance.

5. Practical preparation

  • If invited, follow the actual invitation deadline and verify every priority claim against employment dates, hours, income, residence and study evidence.
  • If waiting, keep the ROI accurate and update genuine changes; do not claim unsupported attributes simply to approach this round's scores.
  • If a visa is nearing expiry, separate lawful-stay planning from nomination hopes. An ROI is not a visa application and does not itself provide a bridging visa.

Frequently asked questions

Does an ROI invitation mean nomination or visa approval?

No. It permits a nomination application. Tasmania still assesses eligibility and evidence, and Home Affairs separately decides the visa application.

Does matching 319 or 88 guarantee the next invitation?

No. They are historical Tasmania ROI scores, not federal EOI points or guaranteed future thresholds. Individual eligibility, verified attributes and round settings still matter.

Is 23 October already an invitation-history result?

No. Only the schedule change has been announced. This update appends the confirmed 15 October result and preserves previous recorded rounds.
